I know, the excitement side of me prays for the day I get to blow some criminals head off on my own property;)

Louisiana has forever had the home defense law which states that if someone breaks into your home you are fully authorized to utilize deadly force - ask questions later.

Out previous governor, Mike Foster, extended that to your vehicle as well. Someone tries to carjack you and you're carrying? Well, they'll understand in short order why such a thing was a terribly bad idea.

i dont even know what california has to say about things of that sort. a guy could probably fall on his own gun while breaking into your house and shoot himself then sue you, but probably only in california.
Yeah probably, I feel sorry for gun enthusiest who live in Cali among several other states.

Based on the conversation I've seen from some of you, I'm truly frightened to find that you own firearms. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Being a firm supporter of the 2nd Amendment is exactly why I wouldn't live in the state of New York for love nor money.

I listen to a lot of AM talk radio in my work truck (I can keep a signal much longer than I can any given FM station) and heard this story maybe a year ago as a prime example of the above:

Some guy that lived in Florida got transferred to New York by his job. Bear in mind that while residing in Florida he was a law-abiding legal gun owner - firearms were properly registered and such (we have to go through no such insanity in Louisiana...as long as you pass the background check there's no registration or permit hoops to dance through excepting carrying concealed)

Upon moving his family and establishing a new home in New York said man was in the process of getting the proper paperwork filed in New York state to register his home defense weaponry - but to anyone that has had to do so you know this isn't an expedient process.

Before the all the NY-state red tape had been navigated he encountered a man having broken into his home. He was awakened by an out of place noise in the middle of the night and found an intruder in his sons' bedroom.

This unwelcome guest was issued a one-way ticket to the county morgue by way of a handgun(in his shoes I would have done the EXACT same thing - mess with my kids=your impending death)

The district attorney for whatever county that contains New York City (Allegheny, I think it was?) issued a statement that he had plans to bring charges against the father for murder, not certain which degree, due to the firearm that was used failing to be properly registered in New York state.

Insanity, I say!!!!

i have a chinese AK-47, a 9mm(not sure brand), and a shity 22 revolver...i cleaned them and shot them today at my pond to make sure they still work, cuz any new orleans "refugee" that tries to break into this house wont be met with open arms, not saying i would shoot them but a loaded AK-47 pointed at you is a **** good insintive to run away

plus im negativeeffect!!! you should be insanly afraid that i own firearms...im crazy

I have a pair of Ithica 37 deer slyers. 12ga pump. Excelent excelent guns!!! I also have a Mossburg 590 police issure, 9 rounds in the tube and 1 in the chamber. Also have about 3-4 assorted .22's rifles and revolvers. Nothing big, mostly hunting guns...
