No amps have a "switch" that blows. A switch is a physical openning/closing of a circuit done manually. A fuse or breaker could blow. If it were a fuse, it would not be smoking. Electronics that smoke don't work anymore. It's a simple fact. They load smoke in components from the factory. Components are designed to release it when they are bad. That's how you know.... and knowing is half the battle. GI JOE!!!it's not necessarily blown. just a couple things to fix. rf amps have a switch that blows and puts it in protect mode when something like it happens
I really hope you're joking. No amps have a "switch" that blows. A switch is a physical openning/closing of a circuit done manually. A fuse or breaker could blow. I'm sorry but I have to lulz here, it "started smoking like crazy" and you want to know what happened to it?So I was hooking my amp up yesterday with a friend, and he was putting the ground and power in. He touched it once to the post, it sparked, and he put it on the post and began clamping it down. All of a sudden, it started smoking like crazy. We unhooked it, but i'm unsure what to do next. Are just the fuses blown? is it gone? any help would be greatly appreciated. My amp is a Rockford Fosgate R-1000-1D
