mixed up here and need some guidance. some peole say 1 port that that'll be good for both music and movies, some say 2 ports, 1 says 3.

i just don't know anymore-------> ( we all would like to thank lemans for convincing me i.e. shooting down my audiophile dream, that having 3 ports is a dumbasss idea. see how african americans treat me?!?! SEE THAT!?!?!?!!?!?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif :crying: )

The first idea (with one port) is a regular bass reflex enclosure.

The second idea (with two) seems like you're trying to build an aperiodic bichamber design, but that's the wrong way to do it. You can't arbitrarily choose your tuning frequencies for that, the chambers need to be carefully designed to interact with each other. Properly built, an ABC design can really extract a lot of output from small drivers.

I don't know what you're trying to accomplish with the 3rd design //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

me either. well kinda. i was tryna imitate the svs subs, but i don't know what that middle tuning would be good for (16 - 18Hz is good for movies and something in the higher 20's is good for music. what would the lower 20's tuning be needed for!?!? seems like waste)
