porting question

if the manufacturer tells me to port the box with 4" x 16.75", can i shorten the length and still be ok, or should i stick to the man. specs?

I would stick to the specs. because they built the sub and they know wuts best for the sub

You can shorten it or use pvc with the 90 degree bend (joint) to fit your needs. Look at the port calculator and you can see how the length changes the tuning freq.
