Ported or Sealed

I'm planning on buying 2 E8v3 subs for my pickup. I'm hoping to build two custom enclosures using the storage compartments under the back seats. My question is, the v2 has a sealed box spec listed at .25. However the v3 does not list an applicable measurement for a sealed enclosure. I would prefer to build these sealed, due to the irregular shape of the compartments.

Anyone have any ideas on weather the .25 spec for the v2 will work for the v3?

If you have the T/S parameters I imagine you could winisd map it and see the response curve.

Still waiting on a reply from sundown. Anyone else have experience with these subs?

This site usually gets a little more traffic at night. Everyone is off work and everything. I know they're about twice as expensive but the SD 8's are more suited for small, sealed. Everyone I know that runs the E 8's has them ported. Not saying the E series won't work but you might not get the output you're looking for.

Thanks dad. I will continue to shop for a comparable sub that will do better in a sealed enclosure.

Any suggestions? 250-300w
