ported or sealed

or if you could recommend a better brand for the 10s let me know. Also a brand for the 6.5" speakers in the doors.

I was thinkin boston pro60 for the doors and tweeters (with a jl 300/4 amp}

and 2 10w3 for the subs {with a jl 500/1 amp}

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

that must take you a long time to do the first letter capitalized of every word. lol.

3 grand for that?

I would do a blow-through if i had a silverado and 3k.

what would you do with 3gs in a 05 chevy? Im open for suggestions. Any thing would be of help to have a different look on things. How would you set the truck up with that amount of money?

keep the stock apeal, and re-sale. two JL 10's, sealed behind the rear seat will be fine. JL, if you want to keep it all JL, makes some great sub amps and get a good 4 channel for the four doors. A ported box, behind the rear seat will have a ton more space needed, and harder to build.

i'd get a bed cover and do a blowthrough, then spend the rest on a system. you can get loud and sound good with 1500$, assuming you aren't doing tv's or dvd player. here in denver, a decent hard tonneau cover can be got for 600-800 dollars new. if you don't have the means, you could get the blowthrough hole cut for a couple hundred and get an accordian boot. that would leave possibly even more than 1500 for the system. with the extra room for a sub box, you open up alot more options for a sub stage.

what do you mean when you say do a blowthrough?And what is an accordian boot?
you cut a hole from the bed into the cab and put the sub box in the bed of the truck. the accordian boot fits around the cut hole to seal off the space between the bed and the cab, and is flexible because the bed and cab aren't attached to allow movement.

crazy. im not trying to do all that. Im trying to get as loud as possible with only fitting subs behind the backseat. and adding new speaker all the way around the truck. What would you do? its and 05 chevy silverado 4 door.

not much. its behind the back seat. I have a 12" kicker in a small little kicker box, and after that theres not much room. I was told theres no way to put a 15 behind there, and that my best bet was to put 2 10" JL 10w3 ported. Due to the amount of how small of a space they said 2 10s would sound the best. Im not even sure if i could fit 2 12s back there or not. Its a standard 1500 crew cab truck

I would go ported. This is the way i have my 12w3v2's and they pound!!
