Ported or Sealed Box for Techno???

I just bought two 10" Alpine types R's (Alpine SWR-1022D) along with a Hifonics BXi 1606D Amp. The music I listen to is mostly techno,trance, and house. Just wanted to know which box I should get for this type of music? Which one would be a better option? Ported or Sealed?

I'd say sealed but I have done Techno and Breakbeats well with ported also. I like my system ported because it'd be nice to have the lows on the rap I listen to. You just have to adjust the crossover to about 100hz or so IMO.

Ported allows you to control the SQ in the specific range your music plays... Ported>sealed.

For techno...I'd go sealed just because Techno has a lot more punchy bass which is usually best in a Sealed box

BUT...you have a little discrepency....Type R's definitely like the Ported box.

a ported box doesn't necessarily give you "the lows"... it's all tuning dependent...

ported, 35hz gets my vote...

i would go with seal trust me its easyer to deal with and youll hit all the note you want
