Ported box for JL 12W6V2? SQ in mind.

I went to sound advice to listen to the w6. I heard from one of the employees that has one in a ported box, that listens to death metal.

I listen to hardcore, which isnt thatttt far when it comes to drumming, which has extremely fast bass successions.

What box specifications do you suggest for SQ? The employee tells me his ported doesnt differ from a sealed when it comes to quick bass reproduction.

jl recommends 1.50 cu. ft. tuned to 32.2

oh, and you can always completely shoot down his suggestion when it comes to ported not losing any clarity between fast bass hits, and suggest sealed over all.
