Number of ports & placement....

I'm redoing by box for my (2)12" Punch HX2's. I have a box that is 4 cubic feet with a slot port. Now I would like to try a 4 cubic feet wedge type of box with aero ports. The subs will be inverted on top. Size of box will be 46"x(16"bottom)(13.5"top)14.5".

Now, I have been searching and will using 2 4" ports per sub really be better than one. I already have 2 so I will have to order 2 more. SQL is what I'm looking for.

Where would it be best to place the ports on the box. On the top with the subs, side or back of box facing the tailgate. I'm doing this in a 03 GMC Envoy.
