Port up? Port down?

Why couldn't you spread the subs a few inches and do a vertical port in the center? That's how we did them way back... just asking?? Maybe things have changed, but that always got us the best of both worlds .... At least we thought it did back in the early 90's ...lol...
Honest truth is I'm not certain I'll have adequate space.

 
Port top 4sure... I've sat in a few vehicles 157db plus with top port . Sounded great on music
I'm leaning towards the top as well. Thanks for the input!

p.s. I noticed your signature says 4 Sundown SA-18s... how are you liking those subs?

You could try to make the port longer, but there might be other reasons with the box won't extend lower, or even the sub. You'd have to reverse...
