When building a wall, is there a correct placement for the port? Should I put it up? Should I put it down? Advantages/Disadvantages?

You're going to have seats and a console right? Why would you put it on the bottom?
Yes I will, but they won't be right up next to the port - maybe 8-10" away. I've read in different threads and seen in a few builds a port on bottom for loading purposes. I've never done something this big, so I figure better to ask and get opinions than to guess and have something that potentially could have sounded better.

It's either going straight to your ass or blowing your hair like a blow dryer. If I were to guess, the top would be for SPL dash score and bottom would be for daily. 50/50 chance lol.

I think that's what it was actually, because of port distance to your head. I'll double check though

Why couldn't you spread the subs a few inches and do a vertical port in the center? That's how we did them way back... just asking?? Maybe things have changed, but that always got us the best of both worlds .... At least we thought it did back in the early 90's ...lol...

You could try to make the port longer, but there might be other reasons with the box won't extend lower, or even the sub. You'd have to reverse...
