I'll be building a new for my type R using PVC pipes, but the ports are ending really close to the sub, is this right or should i redesign the box to put the ports away from sub.

Box specs:

Net volumen: 3.85 ft3

Ports: 3 x 4"

Port leght: 22

Fb: ~32hz

This is the draw of what i have, the center line was to measure the port.

redesign it man.

Also, it's not a good idea to have that many ports for this design either.

It could offset the tuning.

It'll have just 3 ports, the other 3 are just for the look, i like symmetrical things, i can just move the sub a little to the left and port will have their clear area.

or Should 2 4" ports be ok for a 15" type r?? cause that will short the leght of the ports.

OK, hehe, as long as it isn't 6. Kinda scarin me there for a minute.

You dont want the rear wave to escape as soon as it attempts to pressurize inside the box.
