Hi, Im running Infinity Kappa's 693.5i, there rated at 110 RMS...

Now I have a rockford fosgate 75x2 amp pusing them.

So why do I get pops at max volume? If my HU is rated at 25rms and 45 max, does the max volume mean max power from HU??? And still, My gains on the amp are all the way down, so why am I getting pops??

I hate RF

Yup

35-22,000 Hz

2-way external crossovers (18 dB/octave, 3,500 Hz high- and low-pass)

recommended power range 2-110 watts RMS

peak power handling 330 watts

Ya i copy and pasted, im soo tired.

you said the amp was powering them---- so why do you refer to the HU output? --- you did you use high level inputs or something???

I use the RCA's for my rears??? They are powered right???

Or is it just the amp's power on them??

Are you saying the RCA's from my HU are not powered at all?

Thanks

Originally posted by RangerMan Subs pop at times when being overpowered, and/or bad settings w/ the gains...I'm not sure if that is your case though.
I am also experiencing popping. It happens on the peaks of loud songs if the gain is set too high. The thing is, I honestly believe that this is happenning way before the amp clips and way below the rated power of the subs. I'm hoping it's something in the installation that I can fix. What are the chances?
p.s. See sig below. The USX amp can do 160 W X2 bridged, and my RMB8's are supposed to handle 175 each. I have to limit the amp to about 60 watts / ch if I don't want any popping //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

This shouldn't be happening...when the subs are pretty much gone, they continue to pop even when being powered correctly. Your subs might be partially blown. How old are they??? Are you the orignial owner???
