poor sound quality from ipod...

Man i just got my ipod adapter for my pioneer and my 3rd yes 3rd it might even be 4th ipod keeps freezing and scroll doesnt work sometimes **** i have so many problems with ipods, i hate taking it to apple to get a new one last time i went i waited for like 2 hours and u have to make a appointment which some people find out the hard way after waiting in line for like 3 hours i think.. hope my warranty isnt expired.

i use the poineer ipod control intervface and i havent had any issues either.

the only ones that sound bad are dl from p2p mostly, in 128 or below

192 and up sound great.

What enterface are you using?
I've used Pioneer's and I've used Belkin's power adapter with a line-level out at the plug. Never had any noise.
its a peripheral for a alpine 9855. its not the problem though. if i use a wall charger in my house and plug in my headphones i get the same noise out of the mini jack out.

This thread is a perfect example of why I hate IPOD's. Never owned one and probally never will
its pretty hard to hate something without having much first hand experience. i love mine, the noise is so minimal that you cant hear it when the music is on, when the vol is at 0 on the deck and when the ipod is playing, you can hear it, but as soon as you turn it to 1, you cant hear it over the music, very low volume noise. as long as my interface charges it, why not leave the backlight on anyway to avoid it all together.

Ah but sir you misunderstand. I have sold the things and installed many a interface and played around with them quite a bit. I still refuse to own one, or any MP3 player for that fact. Im one of those pricks that can sit there on a couch and you can play a MP3 disc and a real disc and I can tell you which is which. Hell you can take an original and load it into a computer and then reburn it to a cd and play them and I can still tell the difference. MP3 is one of those things where I never jumped on board and never planed on jumping on board.

im the same way, i appreciate a clean cd such as the remastered special edition michael jackson thriller cd, the gold one that i keep in my truck at all times if someone really wants to hear my truck. other than that, i have the same interface in my boat that i do in my truck, taking 6000 songs back and forth between them and having all that music at my fingertips wouldnt be easy if it were all on cds. cds are just plain gay in a boat, the get scratched, they skip when you hit a wake, gayness. same thing in my truck, i only download music from cds or music from itunes. at super high volumes with rap and stuff like that, you cant tell the difference. only with recordings such as thriller or dave mathews or something like that can you tell the difference at high volumes. rap, no telling.
