I have had problems hearing all my life, Current count on ruptured eardrums is 4 needed surgery to repair them twice with a skin graft.

Yes. In general.
Not really. Hearing loss has nothing to do with the frequency, it's about the dB level. if a 40hz tone and a 4khz tone are both being played at 140db, they'd cause equal amounts of damage. It's just that the human ear perceives lower tones to be quieter than higher frequencies, which usually means people will play the low tones louder.

i've had great hearing all my life. though recently running the btl in my car after lets say a 1hr play time with the car sealed up i will notice a muffle in my hearing when i turn the stereo off. though i think it's a mixture of the pressure but mostly the highs from the speakers.
