Thankfully, it will all be decided in Pasedena, when USC owns whoever manages to get there with them. There will be someone that gets screwed, that's for sure, like when USC had to share the championship with LSU, and it will probably be Va-Tech, because Texas manages to weasle their way into a lot of good bowl games they don't really deserve (last year) I wish the BCS would do a plus 1 format- Teams ranked 1&4 in the bcs play, 2&3 play, winners duke it out for the championship. It's only 1 more game, and I think colleges still like money so I just don't get why it doesn't happen-especially since there is a month of meaningless shit bowl games between the conference championships and the real games at New Years.

Did I ever say Reggie Bush wasn't the most explosive return man in the game? No, I didn't. Special teams includes kickoffs, punts, punt returns, kickoff returns, the whole shebang. I'd rather have a kicker that can make 85% of his field goals, 75% touchbacks, and a punter who can knock it down inside the 5-yard line (all of which VT has and USC doesn't) a few times a game than one guy who can return a punt or two for a TD every year.

Mark it down - if VT makes the Rose Bowl, they pull the upset over USC. Defense wins championships, even against the best offenses. Ask the Colts and Vikings about that one.

USC has solid special teams. Not quite as good as VT, but they can hold their own. They don't rely on their kickers nearly as much as other teams because they score so many TD's. And you also have to remember the impact Bush has on other aspects of special teams. If he gets a good return, then the offense has a couple nice plays and they're already in field goal range and don't have to worry about punting. Give USC a short field to work with and they're scoring a TD most of the time.

Exactly. With a good special teams, the other team is lucky to get the **** ball off the ground.
Ask WVU what that does to a game //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I would, but they're too busy being hillbillies and burning couches.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
