polkdb675 opinion before i take out

I bought 2 sets of these speakers for my car. I had in before kappas 652.1i. The old more powerful kappas had such a difference in mid and even low end bass. The only thing better is the polks highs. Can it be because older speakers didnt have built in crossovers? The older speakers have 20 watts more a piece so i know its not a power issue. What if i take off the crossovers. Opinions before i tear these piles of junk out of my car

Do you have an amp? If you are only using head unit power, an amp could make the biggest difference.

Unfortunately, I heard and compared the Polk DB series alongside MB Quart Premium speakers, and the difference was night and day, the Quarts sounded much better. Other speakers to look at are Orion "P" series, Vifa components at madisound.com, Pioneer Rev and PRS, and Crystal SSCS.
