Polk Momo's and Box

Hey, My friend ran across some free polk momos where the specs are here... http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/specs/mm2124/

I was checking out for him what kind or box would be best for these...a sealed or a ported.... Not quite sure what amp he's going to run but im assuming that it'll be a hifonics BXi 1606D specs here.... http://www.maxxsonics.com/hifonics/pdfs/specs_TitanBrutusZeusAmps.pdf any input would be great.... thanks

0.9 cf sealed each. Wire them for 2 ohms at the amp and set the amp gain to output 800-900w rms.

Def sound best sealed, owned the older DB that the Momo replaced as the best subs Polk made for a min before the SRs came out. Deja hit it right on the head as far as boxes goes.

You can also hit up http://www.polkaudio.com, they may have a ported box design for those momos not sure, but polk stuff is always been SQ first, usually ment for small sealed boxes.

I would sure like to hear those. Momo's sound good period. I havn't heard those subs, but everything else i have head from the momo series has been very good.

They're not too bad in my opinion.

The electronics dept of Neb Furniture Mart used to be an authorized Polk dealer (until they dropped them a few months ago), so I got to audition everything from dB to SR.

Sure, there are subs that perform better than the Momos SQ-wise, but for the money (internet pricing, as I don't think retail is worth the cost), a Momo sub is a fine choice.

I was especially impressed with the 8's, and I almost bought a pair of 10's they had on an open box special for more than 50% off, but since I had just gotten my Assassins, I decided to save my money and let someone else enjoy them.
