can you recone a 12" MX to a 15" one?

As the title states...alotta ****in 12"s have been goin around no 15" so im thinkin bout buyin a blown 12 and makin it a 15" but idk just wanna know if its possible without spendin a grand to do it

Idk bout an MX cuz that's a weird built sub. I made my BL 12s into 15s no problem though.

you cant do it yourself. RE has to do it. a recone alone for an MX costs $180....plus shipping both ways

RE is the only one that can provide recones for that sub. and they wont just hand you a recone you have to send the mx in iirc

iighty...i mean it would probably have to be sent there since the baskets are like molded onto it but just wondering if its possible

I know it can be done with the xxx becase its really easy to replace the basket but im not sure if the basket screws into the magnet the same way on the mx.
