polk audio db6500

does anyone have or heard the polk db6500 series? im currently checking these out on ebay which go for about $130ish shipped. what are some of its competitors?

im looking for a 6.5" component set thats great for hip-hop/rap/trance music. not looking for best quality, but good enough. im not an audiophile or anything. just something that will sound good with 40w to each channel.

I put some in my wifes Element, and they sound pretty good. They have decent midbass and will play fairly well down to 63hz or so. They are a metal/matrix tweeter that is quite bright and will saw your ear off if the treble is turned up too high, though with house music you may like that. Good set for the $$$, not great, but good.

are they amped in the element or running off HU?

im gonna be running these off 40w each. i read the reviews from sounddomain.com that the bass reponse **** on these but i got subs for bass. really want clarity, SQ, and loudness on the 2-ways
