what sounds better subs pointed in to the trunk or cabin? with a 3.7 cu/ft sealed box with 2 12 MTX 6000's in a 1970 Monte Carlo

oh, i was asking. i know if they arent properly sealed off, firing towards the trunk would be a better option. But i figured if you point them forward and seal everything off, it would be just as loud, with no trunk rattles.

im pretty sure u gotta seal it off pretty good.. ud hafta ask someone whos actually done that.

well yea, i know this is a hot topic that has been debated time after time...From the people i spoke with about firing into the cabin, they say they love it. just gotta make sure its completely sealed off.

Now some say, they didnt like it, but usually those are the ones who didnt completely seal it off.

But as many people would suggest, try it both ways and see what you prefer better. Kinda hard to do when you are making a complicated install. But oh well. Anymore info from experienced people are welcome

I have those mtx's in my car runnin off a kenwood 800. I personally prefer them pointed to the back. However, what are you guys refering to as having to seal??? If it's the trunk, well my opinion is useless cuz the ole saturn trunk knows nothing of a proper seal.

the subs need a baffle to fire through to the cabin of the car. that baffle needs to be sealed from the trunk of the car pretty well. if it isnt cancellation can occur and nobody likes that.
