point theyre trying to make if you spent money or not....a slab of mdf will run you less than $50. for you to take the time and effort to build a box out of ply wood knowing its temporary and you'll upgrade later is a pointless waste of time but if thats all you got is time then by all means have fun with construction practices. spend a small amount of money to get it done right the first time and have it complete. that box is flexing wayyy too much dude, tighten up with mdf and reap the rewards...
