cotton balls or foam

i know this guy and instead of using foam to seal up the bracing on the trunk and other small areas he uses cotton balls. anyone ever tried this b4?

bad idea... cotton will absorb water and stink like shit in no time. Closed cell foam is what you want to use

I don't know anyone who has, BUT, I guess if your trying to fill dead space then why not, but thats alot of cottonballs ... However, I am sure there are more pratical materials to use like eggfoam and foam in a can and just using deadner to cover the holes...
