Plexiglass question

I am doing a plexi window for my buddy and was wondering:

1.) if there are any types of screws that are to be used when screwing down the plexi

2.) are you suppossed to use some type of glue or plexi-adhesive behind the plexi to hold it in place too?

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions i would appreciate it!

plexi window in an all MDF box that is.

I would suggest not using any kinda screw with a taper head, I have seen people use black silocone to seal it

you can use drywall screws, predrill countersunk, weather stripping to seal

i have used 100 different screws. just predrill and anything will work. i used double sided tape on my plexy too

oh so RTV black is a sealent + adhesive for the plexi i see, right?

when ive done plexi windows i just used the screws pressure again the carpet to seal it. worked fine for me but the box was only for an ssa icon nothing to crazy

There is not going to be a finish on it for now, so carpet is not an option for him.

black silicon or the sealant wont show because your going to paint the edges' underside.
