You're not alone. My alt is buried too. My positive post was also really short and it was a ***** to get the 1/0 terminal and stock terminal on.

So, looks like I only did the Big 2. Couldn't remove the engine-to-chassis bolt because, again, it was in a hard to reach point and the few times I could squeeze various tools in there the bolt was too hard to turn. Lame *** engine. Will try again (futilely) tomorrow.

Just run an new one. the more grounding points, the better.
