big 3 alternator help

Hey Im workign on upgrading my big three right now but at the alternator positive there is a plastic piece as mentioned in the guide. How do you remove this plastic piece?

I have a rubber piece on mine. I didn't know there are plastic ones.

newer cars tend to have a plastic one versus a rubber one. I had a 1998 civic that had a rubber one and an '05 RSX with a plastic one.
