okay so i want either:

IDQ10v2 - $145 shipped

ID12v3 - $135 shipped

is there much of a difference between the IDQ and the regular ID?

I am looking for SQ, thanks.

Well, from what most sources have been saying; the IDv3 series is actually a little louder and a little better sounding (SQ wise) than the current IDQv2 series. The IDQ's are undergoing a makeover as we speak I believe.....or atleast will soon. Don't know when the IDQv3's will be released though (could be quite a few years.....we're still waiting for an IDOne and a 15" IDMax).

I guess it all depends on your amp. If you have a nice amp that can handell the lower resistance than go ahead. You did say your more into SQ though I prefer a higher resistance for SQ especially with cheaper amps( I don't know what your running). You could run a DVC 4ohm at 2 ohms and than if you find its too sloppy try running it at 8ohms. I am not famillaire with those subs though.

I havent bought the amp yet. Most likely a 1000 watt amp (500 a sub).

in order for you to choose what voice coils (dual 2 ohm or 4 ohm) we need to know what amp you will use. 2 dual 4 ohm subs can be wired at 4 or 1 ohm making an amp that produces 1000 watts rms at 1 or 4 ohms a good pick. 2 dual 2 ohm subs can be wired at 2 ohms or 0.5 ohm. most amps aren't stable at 0.5 ohms. i would say get dual 4 ohm subs because there are plenty of amps available that produce 1000 watts rms at 1 ohm
