Planet Audio -vs- Kenwood

I have two options and am looking for more, or any advice on these:

1. Planet Audio 300watt amp, JL 12" woofer, and install kit for $520

2. Kenwood KAC 829, Kicker Comp vrs 12", and kit for $465

This setup will go into a 2000 Ford Ranger Extended Cab. I have already installed 4 Infinity 5x7's, and now want to upgrade the bass. I don't want to spend more than $500, but I want to get as much bang for my buck as possible. Let me know what you think.

What kind of JL woofer? W0 or W3? I would opt for the PA and JL matchup. I don't care for Kenwood, other than the excelon.

go to http://www.ugonet.com/ get a jbl power valve 600.1 and then go to ebay and get 2 12" L5's for 300........................wont be disappointed
