Guys i recently see that the Infinity Reference 6010cs are in sale in crutchfield

so those are 100 DLS the same as the Pioneer TSC-1653.

What should i get

Infinity Reference 6010cs or Pioneer TSC-1653

Both are 100 DLS

I have an Alpine CDE-9873 HU

NO amp

NO Sub

is my daily car and i just want the HU and 4 decent speakers

PD: if i buy the infinity, i would also buy the Infinity Reference 9613i for the back

but those ones do no fit properly on the civic

i was almost sure of the infinitys but the problem is that i check the specs and the infinity aparently have a bad bass, and since i dont have a sub, i think this will be a problem

but i havent hear them, so its not the same..

I was pretty happy with my Infinity 5.25" coax running off the HU, they weren't gonna rattle the rear view mirror or anything but hard to expect much from small speakers running off of the HU.

I would agree with Deja and look into some Rev coax, unless you are planning on getting an amp further on down the road not much sense in running components off of the HU power.

all the reference line up is on sale now

so i can get the Infinity Coax for the front and the back..

but which one sounds better? the Infinity Reference or the Pioneer A series.

I'm not sayin they are the best by any means but I never had a problem with them, and honestly they weren't even remotely installed correctly, but still happened to play good and never had a negative comment from my friends. Of course none of them have a trained ear or anything but if you can get a great deal on them I wouldn't pass em up. Couple extra $$ for Pioneer Revs and it would be an easy decision though, Revs > Infinity

why are the infinity´s bad? do they fail a lot? or sound bad? or both?
Lack of midbass and harsh highs seem to be the most common complaints with them.

The REVs should fit your car. SonicElectronix ships internationally, and they have them.

6.5

Standard REVs or the Premier variants (same speaker) for the same price.

6x9

Standard REVs or the Premier variants, again for the same price.

It might cost a little more with shipping than the Infinity's from Crutchfield, but I can almost guarantee you'll be a lot more pleased with the better midbass performance and more balanced/blended highs.

And down the road, if you do decide to throw an amp on them (even if it's a smallish 4x30-75w rms), they will only get better.

*** OR ***

Since you have a smaller car.... you could go with front comps only and a small amp (for sale section here or check into Profile amps). Keep your factory 6x9's for now and get the REVs later on.

Hifonics Zeus Comps (review here) $60

Profile 400SX $45 (inquire if they ship internationally)

Wiring Kit $20

TOTAL: $125 + shipping

Dude, nice car and nice HU, but where did you find the Imprint processor?
why are the infinity´s bad? do they fail a lot? or sound bad? or both?
Thanks. Infinity sound just sucks. It's a horrible product IMO. I got the IMPRING processor from my work. I work at abt electronics. It's not bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Thanks a lot for answer me.

i think i will go for the Pioneer REVS, but do you guys think those fit my 2000 Honda Civic ???

This ones for the front

Pioneer TS-D161R

This ones for the back

Pioneer TS-D691R

Are these better than the Polk Audio DBs?

First of all, some of the comments here you just need to take with a grain of salt. Infinity is not a bad speaker. True they do lack midbass, and may have harsher highs, but it depends on what you are looking for. Some people like harsher, some don't. It doesn't make it a bad speaker. I would take the rev's over the infinity's as well. As for your other question, about polks, they are a very smooth and warm sounding speaker. The db's are nice, but the momo's are much better. There again it depends on what kind of sound you are looking for.
