man i wouldnt own a kenwood if you gave it to me lol,i dont care if it costs $2000.i tried one once,biggest waste of money i ever spent

excelon series got really good reviews on sq. 24 bit dsp, 3 band para-eq, x-overs like the pioneers.

ive always like pioneer better than alpine. with that said both are solid.

What are you basing that opinion on? Personal preference or what? I think Pioneer and Alpine are pretty even. Especially with headunits. Does ODR or P9 ring a bell? In fact, I would say that Pioneer has a wider range of products than Alpine. Not that it means they're a better company though. I would take Pioneer's flagship products over Alpine's any day of the week.
