I've got 2 pioneer ts-w254c's in a sealed box. they're hooked up to an alpine mrv-T707 2/1 channel amp. I've got the amp cranked and the subs are wired in 8ohm config. They're not thumping hard at all and the gain and bass boost is almost at full. Should i wire the subs in 2ohm fashion?

try a 4 ohm load first, if thats not enough power, then try the two.

no wonder your subs are only getting half of the power they should be cause your running it in 8 ohm, if they are svc bridge them both off of your amp, if you know your wiring thats series .

sorry, actaully bridging to speakers off of your amp is called parallel wiring

Alpine's made for 4ohm loads and not 2ohms. I just got my wiring all messed up but it's cleared up now thanks to you guys!
