Hey guys, i just bought an MTX Blue thunder amp, and i want to bridge it to get more power, but it says you cant wire 2 4 ohm subs to the bridge in parralell. is there any possible way to wire 2 4 ohm subs to 4 ohms so i can get better wattage?

thanks!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

nope i used to own 4 mtx bluethunder pro 752 amps, The only way you will be in luck for wiring is to buy 2 8ohm subs and wire them in series to get a 4 ohm mono load, but even then my amps used to get incredibly hot with 4 ohm mono. Do what i did and go buy a monoblock amp.

Just a correction for above. I believe 2 8 ohm subs in series would create a 16 ohm load, not 4ohm. 2 8ohm subs in parallel would yield 4 ohms.

For clarity, why not example 2 ? Example 2 is 2 ohm...my speakers are 4 ohm and amp uses less RMS wattage with the bridged 4 ohm full range...
