Pioneer RCA engine whine issue

I have heard alot about Pioneers having issues with engine whine and having to ground the RCAs to fix the problem. I have my 6000UB and havent installed it yet so I am not sure wether or not I will have this issue. If I were to ground my RCAs anyway before I know if I have the problem, could that itself result in a problem?

Also is grounding to the big screw poping out of the back of the unit a good or bad idea?

doubt they come like that from the factory, its always user error that causes it. just be sure, to be 100%, disconnect the battery before installing it, that would be a sure way not to get it. i always think never take cough medicine if your not coughing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

btw you get it when swapping out rca cables while the headunit is on iirc
