you have done what? it's pretty simple. the positive needs to go to positive, the negative needs to go to negative, and the acc wire needs to see power for the unit to turn on. it's as simple as that.

Just to make sure...the ACC and the yellow (positve+) touches the positve battery and the black wire on the deck touches the negative of battery right?

yessir! you got it. hook it up like that and push the volume knob. if it doesn't come on then you have a faulty HU. if it comes on it's the car/wiring somewhere else.

orrrr take it into a place that has a pioneer (premier) demo board and ask them to try it for you. it does sound like a faulty unit but

well...i tested my friends HU on my harness. His works fine. It's the HU =(. Anyone know where i can get it repaired? I'd assume it's gonna cost how much HU cost just to repair it.

you plugged his pioneer into your pioneer harness?

call pioneer for a service center near you.
