Pioneer PRS-D800......hmmmm.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Pioneer Prs-D800 ? I was thinking about using this amp to match my HU. Supposedly a better Pioneer amp but I can't find many reviews on it.

Actually sort of neat amp if you ask me. roughly 2"x4"x10". Would like to toy around with one just to see.

And I've always wanted to know Pioneer's reasoning behind having the + terminal screw in a copper color (is it copper?) then a gold/silver - term.

Is it just cosmetic or is there a valid electrical reasoning behind it?

I was chatting with a crutchfield agent about it this morning. It has no x-overs or any settings for that matter built in. Just raw immaculate power. It came out then end of last month as well which is why there aren't any reviews.

It looks like a sick amp. Imagine putting an array of those under seats. 2 per seat up front would be possible for some vehicles. Stack them up inside a custom center console, put a stack in the trunk, etc. You'd get a really clean signal with the elimination of crossovers, plus the anti-vibration design would help with sound quality too.
