Whats this Old School Orion worth?

So I have this orion amp I bought used 10 years ago. I am guessing the previous owner had it gold plated. The last time I tried to use it there was an awful high pitch squeal. Just looked at the guts and cant see any obvious problems, but I know very little of what to look for in amps. Just no burns or anything. Pics show exterior and interior condition. There is also a serial number on the bottom and engraved into the circuit board that says 806096.

Kind of in rough shape, maybe 100-150, if it was in primo condition 200-300 maybe more concidering its a LE amp.

Also that high pitched squeel is the powersupply torrid going out. If it needs repair then probably worth 50-75.

lol @ "kind of".. bro that thing is beat up. Cords have been hacked to nothing, it's been painted & it's all scratched to hell. If it works I'd keep it. You'll never get what you want selling it.

Yep, should be a limited edition. Being in that condition and the issues with it when you hooked it up, I would say keep it and fix it. You won't get but a little more then shipping out of it if you try and sell it. The value is just not there do to condition.

I really have no use for it anymore. I would honestly get rid of it for a little more than shipping. Or if someone in my area wanted it, i would take a case of beer
PM me, for 75189 zip.I may just take it for that.I may be able to clean it up..Im about to have some time off work/surgery,and wouldnt mind having something to fiddle around on to pass the day.

Since its really not worth anything, i may throw it up on craigslist for $25 so i dont have to get boxes and packing material. I am also in Canada which means shipping is much more.

No prob. it worked great for me for a number of years and though it is beat, that is pretty much how i bought it because it sounded good. This was back in 00-02. I think i've gotten my moneys worth.

I may be wrong on this but, weren't the Orion HCCA's in gold (plated) a special order deal? I think you could even get your name engraved on them. A local store ordered a set of 250's back in the day for one of their customers who had deep pockets

Completely different than the GS series which were basically a GX amp with hand-selected parts and a gold plated heatsink.

Shinju, I've never seen gold plated "r" series Orions before. Those were available from Orion like that? Sisn't think they were still doing gold plated in the late 90's. Interesting.
