hey ya'll MY head unit just busted and i am going to get a new one tonight.

I am looking at the pioneer 7800mp. the problem is that the premier version the780mp is only like 10 bucks more. i ave looked at every single spec on the MFG web site and i cant find any different between the two units except that the premier give two years and the other only give one.

on alot of units i can find differences but these two i cant

can anyone tell me the difference in the two??

well i ended up with the premier but only becasue they did not have the other in stock. i had them both right next to each other and me and the sales guy could not find one thing different. in any case i really and in love with this unit.

here is the best part.

they had an open box and it was missing a few things but nothing i care about. after the reduction i got it for only 264 bucks. thats what i call a killer deal!!!

Ok then warrenty cause I know The only reason I got the 680mp over the 6800mp is because the 6800mp only had 2.1v preouts.
On some units and on alot of older model years the preout voltage was always higher on the Premier units. This model year there is not much difference between the Premier and non-Premier units. In fact, this is the 1st year Pioneer doesn't have a deck with 6.5 volt preouts.

well ok thats not the only reason. lol. this was all before i saw the open box unit. prior to that the price difference was more then 100 bucks becasuse the 7800 was on sale. which was also the reason they had none lol. super glad though because if they had them i would have never looked around and seen the open box item.

BTW i have this unit hooked up now and i REALLY love it. super nice sound and the 16 band Eq is great for fine tuning. tons of adjustments on this thing. even at full price IMO it is very worth the cash.

I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed. I've owned nothing but Premier head units for the last 8-10 years straight and there is a reason why I keep going with them.

my premier deck is 6 years old and still works great i also like the subwoofer control feature not sure what other decks have that have that feature
