Alright guys, ive come across these subs and done a little research on them. Apparently they are very similar to the model year before them, they are just rebadged for 07. The model im looking at is the 10" 4 Ohm DVC. From what ive read the model previous to these ones (06) were proven performers. What im most concerned with is if these will be equal or better to my previous Alpine Type S's. They will be run by a Pioneer Premier PRS-D2000T. Im kind of a newbie and have only had solid experience with the Type S. Im basically comparing these subs running of this amp and the type s running off a Pioneer GM-972X. They will be seeing about 100W RMS more than my Type S's did. They will hopefully be going on a slot ported enclosure in my reg cab truck. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If is the same as the 06 model, is a really nice budget sub, and i'll prefer it over the type S, it sound really nice, and for the price nothing can beat then (or almost nothing).

I have play with the kicker comp and cvr and the type S, and personally prefer the pio, cvr can get a little louder in general, but cant sound as good as the pio.

Pioneer all the way... i've played with the type s and the cvr's also but the pioneer is proven to be a great budget sub... they sound really good for their price and they can get decently loud while sounding nice.

For the price there is no match... get them you won't be dissapointed.

I really appreciate your help, everyone has told me not only is there nothing better in this price range, but it is an awesome sub as well. Keep em coming. As far as i know they just updated a bit and rebadged the 06.

i've only played with their ts-w3kspl's, the bigger brothers, and they are fine subs for the money...

just do it man...i don't think its a risk at all...

So you all are saying that an AA Assassin $70 + $20 shipping and TC1000 $129 + $20 shipping or even DB500 can't compete with this sub?

I have my doubts, although I have not heard this sub.

@ $100 it's not THAT cheap really...

i got my tsw3k's for $120 each so i will not complain whatsoever...

one reason i buy tc's, dd's, ss's, aq's, aa's and other internet brands is for the most part, supporting smaller companies and having something more exotic then just pioneer, kenwood, or other everyday companies:p: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif and i don't mind paying alittle more for that...

if you don't care about that whatsoever, then pioneer subs are excellent for the $....

Thanks for the reply's. I know there are tens that will outdo these in a heartbeat but im looking for something that isnt too expensive, with a fairly slim mounting depth (without having to go for a shallow mount) and will sound good and get pretty loud. Im sure they hang with the type s. Ive heard from a few local guys that they will get louder than the type s. I dont want some crazy spl sub, just something that willl hit decent, get fairly loud and sound good, afterall they are going in a reg cab truck. Thanks.

AA's new stuff will be out soon, I got my Assassin for $70, so thats actualy cheaper, and maybe better (IDK)... TC DB1000 is about the same price as well (just a hair more) BD500 is cheaper alternative though all these have under 5.75 inches of mounting depth. But if you want to buy local or whatever thats cool too, just don't forget about tax.
