I'm currently in the process of buying a stereo system for my 1986 Mercury Capri GS/RS conversion. I have been looking for a good headunit, and this one has caught my eyes, I was hoping to get some of the PROS and CONS of this headunit. 980= 780 with blue tooth. Its a pretty good cdplayer. dnt care for the flashy color screen though.

If you dont need the bluetooth capabilities, you might want to look at the 880 prs. It can be had for cheaper than the 980, and has more audio options to adjust.

880prs looks real sleek and sexy. color screen IMO are ugly. If you want color, go for a in-dash dvd screen, not a little 1"x2.5" color screen.

Looks are subjective. get which ever one looks nicer to you. I have the 780mp , and I'm loving it. It's very easy to use and everyone loves the screen.

do any of you guys have the 980bt?!?!

i installed it today...and its AMAZING.....it has like a thousand settings and the display is gorgeous...literally i have already gotten a kajillion complemens and i LOVE IT. the bluetooth is aamazing...the mic sound is beautiful...omg guys you dont even know..its literally the best thing in the world...

its uncomparable with any head unit on the market right now..except for liekt the ones that are $1000+
