Do all of them have it. My hu has worked flawless since installing it with no alt whine or AC fan noise. Today I pulled it out to hook up the mic for time alignment and when I did it made a loud scratchy noise. Ever since then only when the car is on I get alt whine and AC fan noise through the speakers. When the car is off it sounds great. P980bt is the hu in question. Thanks

Yes when I pulled the deck out the rca came out. Does it make since I only have the sounds while the has the engine running?

The ac fan also.... I am pissed off. Any idea of turn around time and cost or can you supply a link to the grounding of the Rca's to the chassis?

If all else fails I will go that route. Rather try and fix it instead of masking it if grounding them is easy enough. Thanks for the heads up though.. Last resort or do a lot of guys run ground loop isolators?

I heard it's like $90 and about 2-3 weeks. the pic above is what you need to do but you can also do it in a cleaner fashion.all i did was unscrew my rca a little pinched the wire in it and tightened it back up then hooked it to the chassis.just dont ground the center pin of the rca

oh yeah my deck had a huge problem when going from 0-1 on the volume there was a loud thump and then it wouls make like a sinewave though my woofers like I was burping my van and this fixed it for me
