pioneer ip-bus h/u cord?!?!

went to best buy today, and they had a cord that looks to fit the input to the ip-bus port on the back of my 880. anyone ever use this, it's just a cord, it doesn't look like the cd ib100, it's just a cord. the guy didn't know if it worked for older models (shocking i know). anyone know?

What model is it? Link? Are you talking about the PAC adapter? Not sure which adapter you are referring to
