Pioneer GM-D510M vs. Hifonics BX1500D

I know the BX1500D has a good reputation, but is the Pioneer amplifier any good? Is it worth the extra $100 to get the Hifonics amp? I'm going to be using it to power a Premier TS-W2000SPL.

what is the wiring on the sub?? Little secret, the HiFonics is a 1ohm amp. That is were it works the best. Any other ohm and it won't give you the power you want, so if you are going to run that sub at 1 ohm i would go with the HiFonics, if not i would look for another amp. I don't remember what is the rating of the sub???

It says at the bottom "2 Ohm or 8 Ohm", so I'm guessing it won't work with 1 Ohm... The Pioneer amp is 600Watts at 2 Ohms, would that work better than the BX1500D?

Also, since it has two voice coils, how will wiring it (parallel/series) affect the ohms?

Ok it is a DVC 4ohm sub. I wouldn't get the HiFonics. The pioneer would work but i would get another amp. The Kicker KX600.1 comes to mind. It will give you 600w RMS of clean power at 2 ohm. I would take the KX600.1 over the pioneer

With the Pioneer amp, would I wire it series or parallel? What's the difference?

(I'm probably not going to get the Kicker, since it's about the same price as the 1500D)

you should go ahead and get the hifonics bx1500d, that way if you ever upgrade you wont have to buy another amp, wire it at 2 ohms and it should give around 750rms, according to limitkid7's review on the amp, even with 750rms it should make that sub pound, how many subs are you using

The Pioneer amp says 600 Watts at 2 Ohms, and 300 Watts at 4 Ohms. I need to set it to 600 Watts at 2 Ohms, right?
