Hullo,

This deck is on sale at a near-by business here in my town. $348 w/ installation. And, since I sold my 7200 for parts to build a second computer, I need a deck badly. It's been over a month of no tunage in my ride - and this deck seems the most appealing.

New for 2003, it can also playback mp3 cd's. Very cool.

Only problem... no matter where I look, not even the Pioneer website, can I find any information about it! I guess since it's brand new, but I dunno.

Anyways, anyone who can help, please do. I'm thinking about going down on Tuesday to have it done - but I'd like to do a bit of reading before I go. I'm most interested in the seek time for mp3 playback.

Thanks.

You sure you want to spend that much on that? Look at the deal I got on my new pioneer (see sig)... 4 v preouts and all. I'll have to install it myself... but, hey, one wiring harness, some soldering or crimp caps (not sure which I'm going to do.. probably soldering), and an antenna adapter later (total cost of parts should be $20 or less... hell, make a shopping cart at crutchfield, they'll show you if it'll fit in your car, tell you what tools you'll need... then you can buy from them (shudder... so expensive) or just make note of the parts you'll need.... crutchfield will sell you the parts separately if you want... delivered, right to your front door. Discovercard's website has a special smartshop link to crutchfield that gives you free shipping (and you don't have to use discover to get it)) .
