I am looking for some recommendations for add ons for the Pioneer AVIC-W8500NEX that I am putting into a 2004 Mazda RX-8. I have the Bose sound system in the vehicle. This head unit checks all the boxes except for volume control. I am really wanting to have a volume knob instead of the volume buttons.
First item: I'm thinking I can wire up a volume knob that I could plug into the wired remote port. Anyone have a recommendation on the best way to accomplish this?
Second item: I am wanting to install a backup camera. I think wireless should suffice. Any recommendations on a particular one? I'm looking to wireless to avoid running wires all the way down the car for the camera...
Third item: I'm planning on using an adapter to retain steering wheel controls. I picked up an axxess adapter pretty cheap. Is there any major advantage to use idatalink maestro instead, or am I good with the axxess?
