I have the Pioneer AVIC-940BT unit. I took it out to check the wiring to check the specific connections. When I put it back in, started the car and put it in reverse the backup camera no longer came up on the screen. Great.
Took it back out. Looks like the connections to the unit are fine. The RCA jack (Brown) that connects to the camera, I unplugged and plugged back in. Still no backup camera in reverse.
The first thing I tried ("System Settings"-> "Backup Camera"). Was set to "on" and Polarity of "Battery" (which is correct). Just for grins, I changed the Polarity to "GND". When I tried it, I actually got the message at the top about Objects may be reversed...", but no picture. Which in a way makes sense. Changed the polarity back to "Battery", put it in reverse and screen never goes to the camera.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
