Pioneer 9800-bt

I Just Got Off The Phone With The Tech From Pioneer Canada Reguarding The Problem I'm Having Trying To Transfer My Phone Book From My Cell To The 9800.he Says The Problem Lies With My Cell Provider(bell Mobility)that They Don't Allow The Transfer Of The Phone Book Through The Bluetooth Network.

I Guess I Would Recommend Checking With Your Cell Provider Before Dropping The Coin!!!as Now I Can't Take Advantage Of Great Features That Come With This Deck. I Was Told To Sit Tight For A Bit As Bluetooth Is Constantly Expanding.

I'm Pissed!!!

Anyone Else In U.s.a. Or Canada Experiencing The Same Problem???

Just got this HU last week. It's a beauty. Bluetooth calling works really well. Tried bluetooth audio and that was pretty awesome.

I've got a V710 and I can't seem to transfer my phonebook. Guess I got to hack my V710 first to allow for bluetooth data transfer. Also for the guy who wants his cell to automatically connect when he gets in the car.....try Tele-Function-Autoconnect-On

I would like to know if I can delete any of the default images and how much memory there is to dl my own images. Also if there is an automatic setting where the call would be diverted to my cell when I turn off the car.

just letting anyone near the detroit area that i was at future shop over here in windsor ontario canada and they had

5 - yes - 5 pioneer 9800BT sitting on the shelf

price 650.00 canadian dollars

i got more info if interested !!!

I Picked mine up on friday... and it's really awesome. Sadly, it doesn't connect automatically to my Motorola V635 either... I have to initiate the connection from the phone... which is totally lame. Other than that, its a wicked deck, streamed audio from my laptop via bluetooth, and the deck controls the track navigation. Slick.

Yeah, i think the problem may lie with our Motorola phones. The HU has a autoconnect feature but my phone doesn't. Could it be that our phones are made that way so that it's not constantly trying to find a bluetooth connection and thereby conserving battery power for our cellphones?

Have you been able to transfer your phonebook either from your cell or from your laptop? Yeah, the bluetooth audio is pretty cool. Using a bluetooth IPod would be pretty awesome.

I had seen one today in my local best buy. It was going for $650 CND and it looked to be a great little HU...

I didn't get to try out my phone with it. I'm going to wait till my friend gets his installed in the next few days. I'll try various phones with it (I've got a Moto V3X and a SE K750 and my friend has a Samsung D600) to see if I have any problems.

me again!!!

just got off the phone with motorola canada.i was now told that the problem transfering phonebook to deck is my phone(motorola e815) which is bluetooth but does not have OBEX bluetooth which is needed to do data transfers.

anybody know about OBEX and or cell phones??

let me know!!!!

............g

In terms of bluetooth audio, I've been told by Motorola that only the Motorola Rokr and new Motorola Q phone has A2DP. Guess until we get a phone with A2DP, we'll be stuck using stereo cables .

In terms of phonebook transfering, I've read that the Ericsson 750i can do full phonebook transfer.

A2DP shouldn't matter too much, as its only used for Audio connections (A2DP = Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and as such, should have no interaction with auto-connecting a Bluetooth telephone. I could be wrong though.
