I normally, wouldn't bother entertaining a post like this with a response, but what the hell I'm feeling special. I originally had the head unit in my car working for days. I've done several head unit installs without any issue, and I looked over the manual for setup issues when I felt the need to. Mostly with where to access settings and what various buttons did. When I attempted to use the auto tune is when I had issues with the mic and in trying to access the port on the back is when I screwed the head unit. That was my fault, I admit it. I spoke to
amazon (who I purchased it from), had them issue a refund. They can do that right on the spot and all I have to do is print out the label and send it back within a few weeks. Right after, I ordered a new head unit. Considering I pay an annual premium for Prime membership, I do get free 2-day shipping. So yes, I got my head unit THAT FAST. I haven't sent the old head unit back yet. All I have to do is put the first head unit into the box of the new one I got and not bother opening up any of the accessories. So, thanks for whatever enlightenment you were trying to show me, but next time contribute something to the thread or don't bother posting.
Sorry if I ruffled your feathers, RuffRhyno. But you spent a lot of time on the forum asking questions about YOUR HU and didn't bother to read the instructions. If you did you wouldn't have tried to do TA with the Bluetooth mic plugged into the back and then trying to plug it into the front. Did you not wonder what the other mic was for? And contrary to some on here who claim to have 20 years installing experience, you never pull or work on your HU without disconnecting the battery first, you will F them up. It warns you about it in the instructions. Yes I was being a d!ck and I apologize but you ask us for help and didn't bother to help yourself. If there were something in the operation manual that you didn't understand that would be different and you most likely would have resolved the problem with or with out help with the first HU. It would have saved a lot of trouble on your part. Again I do apologize for being a dique, have a nice day
