Pioneer 80prs or something else???

since there's a lot of your 80prs guys in here, how's the bluetooth? I live bluetooth, literally the only way i listen to music anymore. Is there any annoying noises when your phone goes off through the speakers? does bluetooth have the same SQ with the phones volume maxed? I guess it'd be better to have someone with an oscope show me, but i dont think anyone has one or the time to do so.

making me want to go buy one of these now lol

BT will never be as good as hard wired.

This guy is wanting to stream to bluetooth. We all know CD>Hard Wire>BT>Poop. 80PRS is hype, plus pioneer is notoriously known for their pico issue which I'm not sure if it's been addressed. Having to ground your rca's on the back of the head-unit for this issue is ridiculous to me. I bought a kenwood excelon from a member on here and bluetooth streaming works great.

80prs don't have a pico fuse and it's not hype. Enjoy your JVC

Compared to other units, bluetooth is lightyears ahead in clarity. We also did a distance test accidentally. Had my buddy linked up on his ipad playing music and dropped him off and drove away. Music kept playing clearly for a few traffic lights several blocks away. Range is ridiculous

Have it narrowed down to Alpine 164bt, pioneer 9600bhs, and the 80prs... Can't decide. The 9600 is cheaper. The other 2 are less than $10 apart.

you are looking for 24 bit processor, 3 way active network capable, 4+ volt pre-out, features you want and good ratings. Those are bare minimum, as long as you have those, then you should be fine if you want to save that extra dough. Sounds like you arent ready for an 80 prs yet. The cheaper ones are simple to use.

The whine issue is if head unit grounds are inadequate or the car is very noisy(basically any head unit besides stock had noise). 80 prs sell to a large crowd and not everyone installs car audio properly. 80 prs is certainly not hype, its beyond legit if you ever get a chance to use it properly.
