Pioneer 7800 don't turn on.

Take the power wire and the illumination wire and put them to your positive battery post then your ground wire to your negative. As long as your battery is 12-14v you are good. I just tested one of my head units this way.

 
and by illumination he really meant accesory, easier way to test it, pull the plug out of the back of the HU, turn your key into the acc.position and break out the dmm and start probing primarily the constant, acc. and ground wire to make sure all your power is there

 
Yeah, definately whip out the DMM to make sure the unit is getting power. If it's getting power but not powering up, check the fuse on the unit itself. If the fuse is good, then your h/u may be screwed.
