pill related question

It is safe to take ibuprofen and narcotic painkillers at the same time. When the doctor bumped me down from Oxycodone to Hydrocodone, he suggested TO take ibuprofen with the weaker painkiller if the pain gets too bad.

i have sciatica, i have taken as much as 2000mg at a time. you'll do desperate/stupid things when you have sciatica and the pain gets unbearable //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
that does not sound fun. I'm sorry for you bro.

I've never had any painful stuff like that, but I normally get the bad respiratory diseases. Needless to say when i have those I don't need to close my mouth to whistle...

..i about shit my pants too. Thats why I believe in coughing and not gay anti cough medicine.

The advil will be ok, but if you are just a hour away from the roxi, go ahead w/ it.

Acetaminophen is much harder on your liver. Especially if you have been drinking.

That said:

In cases like a drinking binge...NEVER take acetaminophen.

Alcohol (Etoh) will cause Cyp2E1 induction. Cyp2E1 plays a role in the phase2 metabolism is Etoh, but also will cause free radicals to be created if acetaminophen is present. This can and will cause necrosis in the central lobular region of your liver. A dose of acetaminophen as small as 800mg in 12hr can case significant damage in such cases.

So...Tylenol for a hangover = BAD.

*cough* Toxicology major *cough*
